Fine Art Photography from the Harz Mountains
Atmospheric landscapes, forgotten forests and quiet places hidden in the mist.
About
Hello, I'm Sebastian.
For more than four years I have explored the forests, mountains and hidden places of the Harz region with my camera.
My work focuses on atmosphere rather than documentation. Fog, silence, solitude and the traces left behind by time are recurring themes throughout my photography.
Through my images I aim to capture moments that feel suspended between reality and memory.
Every photograph is created during long walks through changing landscapes, often in challenging weather conditions where light and atmosphere exist only for a brief moment.
Welcome to my world.

Where the Forest Remains
This collection was created in the mist-covered landscapes of the Harz Mountains.
The forests shown in these photographs are changing. Storms, drought, insects, and time have left visible traces across the landscape. Yet within this transformation, there is still beauty.
The fog softens the boundaries between life and decay, presence and absence. Paths disappear into silence. Solitary trees stand against the elements. What remains is not destruction, but atmosphere.
These photographs are not about documenting a location.
They are about the feeling of standing alone in a landscape where nature is constantly rewriting itself.
A reminder that even in places marked by loss, there is still wonder, stillness, and light.
